Contradictions

Contradictions

A Poem by AmberMarie
"

This poem has contradiction laced through just about every word. Thoughts

"
If I told you a secret,
Would you keep it
Close to heart?
Or might you throw it away like
You didn't care from the start?

See, I'm disillusioned to
My core,
Shotgun to Hell fast.
I'm irrelevant and I'm lost
Althoughy My Life is
Not a wrap
Yet.

Hear me.
Don't listen
Save me.
Don't help.

I'm a walking contradiction.
Ink on a page in
The middle of the night.
An adrenaline junkie,
With a conscience.
I'm a bottle of pain, and
Everything
You can't see.

I'm only me

this is brilliant! the rhythm and pace suit the poem perfectly, i get quite a lot from it, the contradictions give me a real sense of confusion and the metaphors are almost like searching for answers. its a wonderful message.

really nice poem well done x

This was an amazing piece of work..and aren't we all walking contradictions if we are honest with ourselves at all. This flows and is incredibly original...I feel your style in it and I haven't read any of your other work yet, although now I will. Not to wordy..just perfect...love 'ink on a page in the middle of the night'..lovley

There is as you say, a world difference between listening and hearing, being helped and being saved.
Wonderfully penned, with some great lines and an ending that says it all, I am only me. No label or list of ingredients, just you and everything within, if only people looked.
