before we had our first meeting

I longed to know you

your face was captivating

I spent moments thinking over you

trying to pass you casually

just to bump into you

to have a chance to meet

something about the way you moved

the way you seemed to ignore the world

it fasinated me

I knew a rumor or two

just the hearsay gossip of the school yard

it was hard to ask about the boy

the boy whose name you didn't know

the boy who disappeared

far more quickly than he appeared

his eyes when mine met

I felt a longing to speak to

but yet, I only wound up lost

lost inside the magnifacnt color

something about your life dazzled me

caught in another daze
