Not a poem . Need your take on this one .
Personally I disagree . For the simple reason that I can not pen down something I dont feel for have not experienced . I guess most of us write things after we have very well understood it and the lessons and emotions attached to it .Even if it sounds wise or preaching

I really disagree on this. why should we write in the first place if we don't understand what we've written? This is simply a manner of sharing our works onto others in order for them to catch a glimpse of what is inside a poet's mind. Just because he is a philosopher does not mean that only philosophers say the wisest things. Art may be better in some aspects than philosophy for it hints the beauty of the artist's mind to be placed in writings, paintings and other forms of art.

Yes I mean I think of it this way. A poet may write and convey what they think is half of their message though when someone else reads it it probably leaves that person with the other half to understand. That is just what I think

I think what he was trying to say is that the poet mind's is so creative he can outside of his own experiences and pen something that is believable but perhaps not fully understood.

I somewhat agree though. When you have a way with words, you can actually form nice sentences without understanding the deeper meaning to them... well, I speak for myself... true, making phrases that have deep emotional touch is only understood deeper by those who had been through them.... Nevertheless, some could write even without understanding the meaning.
