Do You Remember Me?A Poem by Amber Dawn AginDo you ever remember me when you look at her? Some questions for a past love.I wonder has your new love taken you by surprise? Do you ever look into her eyes expecting my warm amber as you’re greeted by her dark chestnut? Do you ever watch her hair blow in the wind and remember how the sunlight colored mine auburn as hers remains a deep shade of black? Do you ever take her on walks in the fall and you can’t quite explain the odd feeling that unlike me she doesn’t step on every crunchy leaf? Do you ever dial her number and expect to hear me call your name when her softer voice picks up? Do you ever lace her fingers with yours and notice her hand feels differently in your palm and that she is not familiar to you? Does it ever hurt that her name doesn't flow as easily off your lips? © 2016 Amber Dawn AginAuthor's Note
