A Poem by Amber Elaine Marshall
"

A poem about the mental and emotional anguish of being alone one can endure

"

Deep inside this restless mind there are pieces torn, shattered, broken, along with a soul matching mine that seems to be hopeless to find....
A piece to fill one of the many holes found throughout my heart and soul. Someone to take this dull life from me, take me away from this misery...
The bitter pain sits inside. Breaking me down as rejection leads to insanity. As it lays away in my brain, whispering my name, the alienation,  unappreciation, and neglect digs its sharp claws deep into my soul as the mindless pain devours me whole...

This "feels" like a 3 A.M. piece formed at a kitchen table, with a tock-ticking background and the electric is on - hum playing accompaniment. Quite real.
