Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Andrew Michael Bennett
"

A post-breakup poem in which I got quiet honest and found closure.

"

You try to anger me,

then you walk away,

I hope you stay,

far from me,

out of my life,

never come back,

I couldn’t take it,

what you put me through,

it sucked the life from me,

you left me out to dry,

now I say goodbye.

As you say, the poem is a lovely way of expressing closure on what one may take for a while but not forever from some-one else, in few lines you convey what some less positive relationships can be. I think you are good at short but meaningful poems.

I find that most people try to hold on to people who have hurt them because they love them so much, but I think the best thing to do is say goodbye because if they have hurt you then they're a waste of your time. Great write :)

We need to let the people who treat us like crap go.Even if we love them. They can't treat us badly and expect us to believe them when they say they love us.Good poem
