Pooh Bear to Eeyore

Pooh Bear to Eeyore

A Poem by blink182427
"

This was an assignment for my creative writing class. We had to model our poem after a Langston Hughes poem and this was mine!

"

Life for me has not been a full jar of honey.

I’ve found bugs in my honey

I’ve knocked it off the table once or twice

And I’ve even had spoiled honey.

But for every day that I have no honey

There are two days

That I have an overabundance of honey.

I’ve always had my honey when I most needed it.

And my supply of honey

Has never grown sparse

In my most desperate times

So, Eeyore, don’t be sad that you have no honey today

Be happy

Because tomorrow you may find

A whole bucket of honey at your front door

And believe me, I would know

Because life for me has not been a full jar of honey.
