A Potion

A Potion

A Poem by Sydney

A potion faded, forbidden

Charm of lightning bound within

Question-mark eyes enchanted

Imminent curiosity unrestrained

Wild branching bolts released

Black wisps of shadow

A needle now cursed, tangled in thread

Slave of the hex, weakened warrior

Predestined by goddesses, motives never-said

Precious freedom chained

Whorls of tragedy, consequence of inquiry
