Glue

Glue

A Poem by Amaree
"

An ode to my heart...

"
To whom it may concern
I am a human being
I hurt when you are mean

To whom it may concern
My name is Amanda
I may seem put together
But I am broken
And still falling apart inside

To whom it may concern
Under my stone exterior
There is a little girl inside

To whom it may concern
She is still waiting for someone to save her
From the monster that broke her spirit
And hid the glue that holds her together

To whom it may concern
...listen harder,,,
...look closer...

Can you help me find my glue?

Very sweet, I can most certainly relate to this.

In the end, Amanda, you are the only one who can save you from that monster. By all means, don't give up; don't let him win.

This is a wonderful poem spoken straight from the heart. It deserves to find a home in other hearts too. Thank you for sharing your poem.
