Rebirth

Rebirth

A Poem by Aidan Singletary
"

"
Please forgive me for today,
Lord, I’ve sinned and lost my way.
The trail it seemed, was wide and stark,
That is, before night spoke of dark.
-
-
It spoke to me so soft and sweet;
Seductive voice that made me sleep.
Deep in sleep, I didn’t wake,
Cries for help, I didn’t make.
Letting darkness overtake,
All my thoughts for my own sake.
-
-
Lord, Please forgive me for today,
Lord, I’ve sinned and lost my way.
The trail it seemed was wide and stark,
But now I see it’s narrow part.
-
-
It stirred in me, a painful peace;
A sudden truth that makes me speak.
Alive again, I see His light,
Forsaking all that is the night.
Now Jesus leads his treasured son,
I fail and fall but He has won.

I interpret this piece to be one about Gods forgiveness towards his servants. For when we sin, we seek forgiveness and guidance to mend our bad ways, we are lead on a straight path of goodness to undo our wrongdoings. A person rebirthed into somebody new. Thanks for sharing, I found this to be a spiritually peaceful read!
