Something Deeper

Something Deeper

A Poem by Aidan Singletary

We seek something deeper,
Something true.
Something hidden, steeper.
Seldom seen or heard,
Never been or burned.
It is the silence,
The noise.
It is the grace, found in poise.

Not well defined and,
Surely divine.
But a glimpse of the truth we will see,
Given time.

The spirit with which living and co-habiting takes place in home relations is something that is vital to a person's well-being. The unspoken and unsaid things, specially when they build up and bring forward are a living testament, a grace that surely is divine in its source. Thanks for sharing.

Hopefully, in time, we can find our own truth in things. It certainly does no good to follow the blind. I enjoyed your poem. I'm just a student and observer of life. F.

That's lovely. We crave something, yet it can't be defined but even undefined things can be surely beautiful and all the most divine! Nicely penned

My pleasure!
This is a spiritual offering which says something true about us. Beneath the struggles and conflicts of the material world lies something which we seek in its physical surrogates. It is the peace and stillness of Being, which is with us all along, but which we don't recognize. But the poem gives us hope by reassuring us that we will, given time.
