what goes up must come down; what enters my life, must leave.

what goes up must come down; what enters my life, must leave.

A Poem by Amanda Jane
"

7/19/10.

"
exit wounds.
they’re the ones that leave skin shattered,
leaving it in shades of black,
blue,
and red.
they’re the ones most horrific to see.

i have exit wounds all over my body,
ones you could see from miles away.
ones left by every person who has walked into my life,
only to walk out.
one from every person i have said good night to,
every person who greets me sweetly in the morning.
each person who has gently touched my hand.

it’s only a matter of time before you,
too,
become another exit wound.
