this one's for you.

this one's for you.

A Poem by Amanda Jane
"

5/4/2010 and 6/7/2010.

"
isn't it silly how your hand slid
inconspicuously between my thighs
can make my whole damn night?

jesus, baby,
there's nothing in this world that can
pull me from your arms.
it's always you, only you.

and in my room,
you kissed me deep,
my back pressed against my bed.
"and this," you said,
"this is what love feels like.
this is what it feels like
when two people love each other."

and you showed me, you showed me
what it feels like to love wholeheartedly.
to feel something so deeply it chokes you out,
makes your whole body heave and sigh.
and it's treacherous and beautiful,
and you can't seem to get enough of it.

i'll follow you to the end of the world.
until there's no breath left in me.
until the final light flickers out.
i'm yours.

you are my home:
your arms, my fortress;
your eyes, my sanctuary.
i could spend forever
against the heat of your skin;
or drowning in the deep blue of your eyes.

so, baby, hold me tight;
tell me everything is okay
just one more time.
i'll do anything
to spend forever with you.
