My love letter, to youA Poem by lovelymarinaBroken hearts are worse than death
From Brooklyn to California,
Summit to Chase ave, To Dewey in the attic, my love lives on, within you. Beyond the dusted pianos, old kitchen tiles, cheap poetry, dark bedroom with one bright night light, vivid enough for us to make love, and old headphones destined for two, your love, lives on, with me. Among apple trees and willows, drives over that bridge in New York, where I’d pick you up in my old jeep, or the sunset by Bandon road, the desire to long for you, has not left… Left only with vintage photographic memories, on that camera from 2006, you’re still here, a piece of you, will live in me, forever. Please save me from myself, I need you home with me… In our darkest hour, This is my love letter to you. © 2022 lovelymarina |
