Lonely Soil

Lonely Soil

A Poem by lovelymarina

Rose,
undying insenserity,
stems through a blossom,
where I met you.

Through thorns that struck,

one
by
one,

each word,
puncturing another part of the anatomy.

Unveiled,
forever is with you,
to watch the sunflowers,
alongside the river,
blossom,
and shrivel to their last petal…

but to let out a soft weep,
on your shoulder…

The lonely soil is where I belong.

I read the third words as "insincerity"..
I love "shriveled to their last petal" and "the lonely soil is where I belong"

hauntingly beautiful imagery in this poem.
