Marina, Marina!

Marina, Marina!

A Poem by lovelymarina
"

How Marina was born, this one's special to me.

"
Bleeding cries through hollow wood,
in the depths of the canyon.
Echoes of mania,
in skies over Magnolia,
with fingertips grasped,
and unlocked on Springfield,
where your mother boasted over your vainglory.

To Summit,
where purgatory and paradise merged in the process,
like clockwork,
calculated over dinner with the President;

Birthed she was,
Lovely Marina!

I have to say Marina, I am particularly drawn to the lines which Jacob has already mentioned.

Purgatory and paradise, now that is the last agonising push before the pinnacle is reached. I have only given birth once, but how I remember it.

What a beautiful comparison! Purgatory and paradise can take you to a lot of places.. mentally… I .. read more
What a great last line of the second stanza.
I like the mother line so well too, and purgatory and paradise merging, as they often do...
it does seem so.
really strong imagery here.
