Stalemate

A Poem by Amanda Reynolds

Stalemate
Everyone knows I don't like to kill bugs,
And people laugh at me, and I'm okay with that,
But recently, I asked others,
Why do have so many roaches in my home?
I have no food scraps or garbage laying about,
Just paper and books.
The answer I got, was not the answer I wanted,
And I googled it, just to make sure,
Roaches also like paper and books;
Stalemate.

I wonder if Roaches enjoy poetry?
If so, do we have a lot of them on this site, and they only come out at night?
