Street Signs

Street Signs

A Poem by Amanda Reynolds
"

A brief poem I wrote about two seemingly unconnected events I experienced this summer

"

“Street Signs”

I wish life had street signs

To tell me what to do-

But even if they were there,

They would probably be,

Out of focus.

If we were born focused we wouldn't have a need to learn focus.

Street signs enhance the species. We are just too stupid at this point in the process to realize. We aren't exactly here just to have a good time... but, done even close to "right"... this is objectively a good time. Why aren't we nicer to each other for a living?

I've lost the plot, I'm just typing things at this point. Feel free to ignore this.

This is so witty and written with a bit of humor. Enjoyed reading this one, Amanda. Life is all bends, bumps and curves, even with street signs, we still need a good driver to discern and drive well on these roads of life :P Thanks for sharing this cute little poem.

Life is full of wrong turns and dead end culdesacs but we find our way
along the different streets.

I like this piece. Even if the signs were in focus, we usually disobey them.

Thank you, sad, funny and usually true...
Ironic, almost cynical thoughts but oh my - how true! Should I be laughing, Amanda!? Your poem has tickled my sense of humour, thank you so much.
