Tactical Realities

A sunset and a blood red sky,

It was at that moment that the woman realized

She must switch to a different plane

A tactical reality; where things get done.

Horizontal disengagement and her breech began to slip.

Continued rearward movement,

Dimensions barreling to disengagement,

Linking down under pressure chambers

And as frictions expanded, people began to run.

Constructed for deconstruction

Impacting a particulate matter

Kinetic penetrator, pathetic perpetrator

Victor and victim

Projectiles incapacitate

Temporary cavities expand and stretch

She cannot be undone.

Q. Who or what is she? ________________________________.

I love this poem Amanda. The images you have created are stunning and perplexing at the same time. Beguiling. As a male I initially think and am drawn to a direction that I feel may be the polar opposite of this works true answer. Its ambiguity can lead one to many different answers. Good writing and poetry often does this. I will hold my answer but lean towards the realm of mother nature. A wonderful piece of writing none the less.
