You were a lesson

You taught me what I'm worth

You taught me I deserve better

You showed me how much I can get through

You made me stronger

You opened my eyes to the darkness of love

I would never thank you for it

But I am grateful

Because of you, I made friends

I came out of my shell

I may have my own issues

But I am strong enough to get through them

I wake up everyday

I have friends and family that love me

I have a job and a plan
