Grieving City (Cloudy sky)

Grieving City (Cloudy sky)

A Poem by Amanda Moubarak

my beautiful bride
what have they done
oh what's our pride
will do us now

they've let you die
a hundred times
we hope to find
survivor lives

oh but the smoke
is high to the sky
in blood we're soaked
we hear their cries

oh cloudy sky
don't let them die
don't let them die

oh you don't know
just what it's like
to hear my children scream
please let us out

under rubble for years
help them, they can't breathe
and you just wait
wait to cry

oh cloudy sky
don't let me die
don't let me...
