Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by A. Hutchins

Goodbye

Saying goodbye meant nothing when I had you everyday

It just meant see you tomorrow in an easier way

Saying goodbye meant I have to get off the phone

Saying goodbye meant I have to go home

I could always look forward to when we were together

Because no matter what we were doing being with you was the treasure

I love you beyond compare, beyond measure

you are my heart and thats forever

I remember times when all we did was laugh

and even when we were mad and didnt want to cross paths

we still had eachother no matter what got in the way

now I'm sitting here wishing you'd stay

Now saying goodbye means this is coming to an end

wondering if my heart will ever mend

Saying goodbye is easy, its letting go that hurts

that feeling you get when the tears start forming that burns

Sitting here feeling all this pain

with nothing else in this world to gain

Trying to deal with all the heart ache

the heart that only you could break
