Loving is No Dance on Roses.

Letting go of your love…

I remember how hard it was.

Seeing your face in every cloud,

Every handsome male’s face.

Loving you

Was like a fairytale,

Just with a gloomy ending

Instead of a happy one…

I remember how petty I was.

Everyone took pity on me,

“Oh, poor Amanda, so sweet and yet so naive.”

And all the sweet words,

“He doesn’t deserve you;

He’s just a fool.”

No.

Wait.

I didn’t get those words,

Not from my dear friends,

But from my beloved family members.

No.

My friends

Met up with him,

Hang out with him,

Made friends with him.

They didn’t even know him.

Had just met over the internet.

But,

You know what?

All though I was a bit…

Bitter in the past,

I have forgiven them.

All of them.

For all their…

Doings.

Even their sudden departure.

I love the good memories we’ve had together,

And those will always remain.

But sometimes,

Sometimes,

The dark ones

Overshadow these,

Unfortunately.

This poem is beautifully tragic. The formatting is perfect for the piece. I think many people have experienced this and your poem expresses it perfectly.

I don't know... I just didn't know that exactly this poem was attractive^^
This is quite an interesting piece- at first you feel sorry for the writer, and then, toward the end, anger toward her so-called friends that hurt her. I enjoy that it brings forth all of these emotions in one piece, while staying on track and on topic of the story. Very nicely done, I enjoyed it, as always. xo

well it is all experience isn't it? That great learning curve called life...I had my first serious relationship at the age of seventeen and I was convinced that I would marry this girl and be with her for the rest of my life..Well she dumped me...I cried...The world ended.....Then......a few months later.........Life goes on

Welcome :)
Yes many times. The world is a small world. Hard to forget good and bad times. In the end. All experiences become a good part of us. Better to have loved and lost then never had loved. Old wise saying. Forgiveness is a good thing. Better to release disappointment. I like the strong ending to the excellent poem.
