The Lack of Beauty...

The Lack of Beauty...

A Poem by Amanda J. S.
"

....

"

The morning air is crisp and sharp.

The dew on the windows is beautiful as diamonds.

I long for the times

Where I could indulge their beauty

But I guess it is too much to ask.

I miss the times where I could enjoy the seas.

I miss the times where a rainy day

Was a cozy day.

Never coming back.

I lack a happiness

That lets me enjoy the scents

And the taste of Earth’s wonders.

I lack a happiness

That helps me get through the day.

Oh, how I just long for the time

Miss the time

Where I could just live.

Evocative, emotional, simple. Thank you for this. Keep up the good work.

I like it too! Suggestions:

- 2nd line, either drop the "is" or change to "is as"; or perhaps drop the "is" and replace with a comma or hyphen? It needs "adjusting."

This is just so sad... "I miss the times where a rainy day ... Was a cozy day." Bwah! ;oQ

The ending just leaves me more curious than ever. What does it mean, to "just live?" It begs for more elaboration.

there is an innocence about this...I am no great poet but that is because I don't try too hard...I think you have the potential to be very good...You just need to think around corners a little....be a bit more secretive...You will be better for it
