Scary Butterflies....

Scary Butterflies....

A Poem by Amanda J. S.
"

Don't always trust butterflies.

Though their beautiful looks

I think they can be just as gruesome as any spider.

They can allure you into following them,

And then,

When you've gotten too close,

Turn into their real selves.

Just remember:

A beautiful facade can delude anyone.

I really like this! It's so true, beautiful things can be so ugly..Just like people. There's so many people that connect beauty with innocence, which is usually not the case. Wonderful job! I enjoyed it :D

Hmmm is right. Ugly worm... turns into butterfly... turn into, um, vampire butterfly?? :) Really!? You should 'go' with that.

Is this a haiku or some other form (that I'm not getting)? If not, then:

- 2nd line just doesn't work for me. Perhaps "Though their looks are beautiful"
- Consider using "lure" instead of "allure" - makes more sense but, you could stretch "allure" into this, as you did.

For me, the rest of it works great! :)

...and the same can be said of humans, unfortunately...

Again this is a wonderful idea...Not to trust butterflies....Brilliant.....You need to be more obtuse....This sounds more like a conversation than a poem...You have the imagination...just need to use it more constructively....Sorry if I'm wrong...I mean...What do I know
