Scary Butterflies....

Scary Butterflies....

A Poem by Amanda J. S.
"

Don't always trust butterflies.

Though their beautiful looks

I think they can be just as gruesome as any spider.

They can allure you into following them,

And then,

When you've gotten too close,

Turn into their real selves.

Just remember:

A beautiful facade can delude anyone.

Good poem:) This reminds me of the aesop fable of a fox who persuaded a bird into "singing its lovely song" and when it did, the piece of meat it carried in its beak fell onto the ground. So from a persuasive sense, that's what I got from this poem. In a figurative sense, this poem says that sometimes, judging a book by its cover can have its uses. keep it up =)
