Lend Me Your Love

Lend Me Your Love

A Poem by Amanda J. S.
"

hm....

"

Please leave your love with me

I give you my vow

I won’t smother it with neglect.

I am just not the type.

Please lend me your love

Just for a little while.

Leave me in delight

Before you leave.

I know it sounds crazy,

Because who would like to borrow a thing such as love?

But I know that just a little of your love

Is better than a bunch of any other’s.

So please,

My dark bliss,

Leave your love with me

I promise to give it back soon enough.

"My dark bliss." A mysterious twist. A paramour? An obsession? An addiction? If anyone tells you to remove that line, don't you listen to them. It's the gold of this piece.

Happy writing,
Savannah
