Rage

The way I see rage.

Rage.

A force almost impossible to overcome.

A power so strong,

Even the  most spirited of us,

Even the ones with the purest of hearts,

Can succumb to.

The rage allure us.

Allure us to do the most horrible of things.

Things we once felt disgusted by.

Mortified by, even.

Many ask how somebody can kill.

Kill another person.

I know,

And the answer is simple:

Rage.

Rage is,

How to explain it?

The devil,

Living within our souls,

Waiting for a moment to strike.

I think it is because you seem to be trying too hard to write this...There is nothing wrong with this poem but a little editing would not go amiss. I started writing at a very early age and it was just as hard then as it is now to judge my own stuff...The sentiment behind your poem is admirable but it talks too much...needs sharpening...THAT is what shows your young years
