Primetime for Heartbreak

Primetime for Heartbreak

A Poem by Amanda

you dont know how much it hurts
to hear you say those words
we're just friends is all i hear
when i just want you near me

i should be used to it
it happens to me all the time
but i thought you were different
thought maybe you'd be mine.

it's 11:15
prime time for heartbreak
we had so much fun
but now it feels like a mistake

i guess there is one thing i just cant do
i just cant keep secrets from you
you saw past my innocent smile
and now ill probably be sad for a while

love is supposed to be great
but heres an oxymoron
its the one thing i hate
