Moon

Moon

A Poem by Amanda Gray

There's a melancholic moon out tonight
It looms over this miserable night
It's been a long drawn out fight
I sliced my wrists with a knife
just so I could see some light.
There's a melancholic moon out on this endless night.
I'm crying on the bathroom floor surrounded by my own blood.
Maybe if I stay long enough the room will flood.
I fall asleep dreaming of a better life
one with no sad moons in the sky
but the sun will rise soon
saving this melancholic moon for another miserable night.
