gods are for suckers

gods are for suckers

A Poem by Amanda Gray

Who will take my soul
when my body's in the ground?
Or do we go nowhere
with no soul to be found?

Is there a purpose
to this life we're living?
Or are we just floating
'til we reach the end?

Is there a heaven
and is there a hell?
I'd go anywhere
after I fell.
To not exist
is the worst I can think of.
After I'm gone,
I'll take below or above

Do we all go to hell?
Is there even a soul to sell?
Or is this just a body?
Is that all there is to me?
It would be so much easier to just believe.

But gods are for suckers
and the devil's just our brain.
Does believing even matter?
or would life be the same?
