Locked CagesA Poem by Amanda Gray
You were the only constant,
My safe haven. They tore us apart, and that's when I caved in. I numbed myself and just let it happen. Seeing the pain in your eyes almost killed me back then. After these long years, I've thawed out my brain. I feared the love might be gone. But my feelings are the same, I just pray to God I'm not too late. It seems like you're happy but I can tell you're faking. And writing this right now my hands can't stop shaking. You made me believe it was fate that brought us together. But if that's not the case, and this is truly the end, with all the tears and all the pain, for you, I'd do it again.
