someone else.

someone else.

A Poem by amanda gott

So much left to say,
but the words refuse to escape my lips.
I want you and only you,
and I can't handle this.

You make me feel pathetic now,
I am growing tired.
Of being the only one who cares,
but you're all i've ever desired.

It's hard for me to explain,
cause words just aren't enough.
Ever since you said you needed time,
things have gotten tough.

I still wait in hopes,
that soon you will return.
That maybe you'll realize,
there was no need for concern.

These tears roll down my face,
and hit these words of desperation.
Of desire, love, and longing,
of regret and hesitation.

I'm sorry I couldn't be what you wanted,
but you told me not to change myself.
So I guess maybe it's true,
you just want someone else.
