the ocean.

the ocean.

A Poem by amanda gott

Gasping for the breath,
that will save me from this death.
Choking - barely breathing,
blind - no longer seeing.

Suffocated by the masses,
the wave comes and it crashes.
My life - a reckless ship at sea,
a ship that's slowly drowning me.

There is so much confusion,
behind the fake illusion.
I can't differentiate what's real,
from the piercing pain I feel.

This love - a fatal attraction,
has put the wheels in action.
Spinning a web of lies,
plotting my demise.

This soul is crying out,
let it scream; let it shout.
I'm still searching for the notion,
that will free me from this deadly ocean.

It is sometimes hard to believe emotions are comparable to drowning. Yet sometimes it is so much worse. Very vivid languages and excellent rhymes. Great rhythm as well.
