I AM

I AM

A Poem by Amanda Buscemi

it’s suddently solemn

it holds me back and tears me down

i swear i can’t even hear

(certain people are so easily drowned)

            But I...

               I am easily lit

   Fire like you’ve never seen

                        And it is captivating

            I’m showered in red-gold

And no one will be amused at all.

I am the calm.

            And I am the woman.

                        And I am the fire.

I like the ending. Woman control the world. A wise man know it. Need woman to teach love, to give comfort and be the peace in a crazy world. I like the way you make your point in the outstanding poem.

Few realize the volume of silence...
the amount of space it takes up
and the sheer level of sound it encompasses.

You have tone and rhythm... ounterpoint and whimsy.

An audible art.

Power, like the element itself. The metaphor was powerful but not in our faces. Nice!
