I Don't Know

Sorry guys, I'm a big mess at the moment.

I don't know anything anymore,
I feel like I don't even know you,
We were so close, so in sync,
But, was any of it true?

Everyone has given up on me,
No one cares anymore,
You said you wouldn't give up,
You promised... You swore.

I don't know what happened,
I'm me, same as I've always been,
Everything else has changed, though,
More than I can comprehend.

I guess people just change,
I guess they just grow apart,
I guess they change their minds,
Or have a change of heart.

Feeling so useless and pointless,
I just... Don't really know.
Can we go back to how we were?
Or should I just go ahead and go?

"hugs" the pain goes away after a bit, then the loneliness kicks in, but sweety that goes away too and then you're back to hammy amandaaa again and after that you'll find new love, better love and then you'll write poems about how awesome that love will be and i'll review them and i'll be like WOW Amandaaa no freaking way you wrote this :D you're so lucky to find new love and you'll be like Ch'yeah LOVE ROCKS.. "internet high five" each other. So yeah :) chin up, great poem though even though it comes from a sad place it was written well and creative with good flow.

This is one of the hardest lessons to learn I think. Yes, I do think people grow and they change. A friend of mine once described it in terms of ships. We all start in one place, one harbor. However, each of us has a place to sail to, and sometimes the people we love are sailing to a different place. The important thing is to treasure the time we have with those people. Also, we need to make sure we hold onto our identity.

I know this is tough, and you give us a look into just how hard it can be. But hang in there. Your a smart girl and you can write and articulate your feelings well.
