I Don't Know

Sorry guys, I'm a big mess at the moment.

I don't know anything anymore,
I feel like I don't even know you,
We were so close, so in sync,
But, was any of it true?

Everyone has given up on me,
No one cares anymore,
You said you wouldn't give up,
You promised... You swore.

I don't know what happened,
I'm me, same as I've always been,
Everything else has changed, though,
More than I can comprehend.

I guess people just change,
I guess they just grow apart,
I guess they change their minds,
Or have a change of heart.

Feeling so useless and pointless,
I just... Don't really know.
Can we go back to how we were?
Or should I just go ahead and go?

and how old are you, my sweet? i have two words to describe this malady you speak of......RAGING HORMONES.....love, true love, is very rare at your age. i know you feel it, but trust me, chemicals in your brain are racing to beat the clock. this a good write and i understand your pain and confusion. be kinder to yourself and take your time.

I can feel the longing all along, longing for the resplendent days that has now turned insipid. I 'm me same as I have always been. what went wrong befuddles us. thanks for excellent poetry.

...This is really powerful. You can feel the emotion, the longing....and sadness. You are very talented for your age and it breaks my heart to know that someone so young feels like this. I hope that what ever is going on, will work itself out, one way or another.
