My Light In The Darkness

I have no makeup on,
My hair is a mess,
But he already loves me,
So I don't need to impress.

He thinks I'm beautiful,
Perfect in every way,
He doesn't see my flaws,
Though I show them every day...

I'm loved by him,
Always and forever,
He says its really true,
That he'll leave never.

Calls me an angel,
A goddess, his queen,
And I'm always forgiven,
No matter how mean.

He's always tolerant,
The perfect match for me,
I can be myself with him,
He can be himself with me.

Compliments, love,
Arguments, fights,
But through the darkness,
He'll always be my light..

Like fish need water,
Like people need air,
Forever and always,
I need him to be there.

7 stanzas, 7 stanzas, lol I think HE proves to be the lucky one. His girl is above her own emotions that still have to try and perfect what she ALSO fears and lives for, and all the while........... he is dedicated to Amanda, and does not play the role of a shy dotard. I think as long as we are coming to you as true fans, that we have an obligation to nurture what we see and hear in your poems, and allow for it to consume us willingly, and wholly!! Amanda, I can't remember knowing a girl that has that AMOUNT of conviction or talent to do such a thing when I hit that age myself. I knew painters, skaters, and girls who were good at sports, but I don't remember them having so much passion to pursue how incredible they KNEW they were, like you do, and WE get to WATCH you do...... Besides enjoying your poems, it really is a lot of fun to see your poems, and listen to how that heart of yours accepts front stage to to call OURS!! Hahahahahahah, I know what you mean by the shortening comments thing, but I like your long comments, they make me feel like you don't mind taking the time to write so much while talking to me. I'm glad to hear that you consider yourself a true fan of mine (: and yes, I often get told that I don't act or seem my age, hahahah. I'm glad that you have fun reading my poems and as you say, "listening to how my heart accepts front stage", hahaha(: I just write from the heart, whatever comes to me. I don't really know anything about all the technicalities of writing, and I'm fine with that.. I can write from my heart and not have to worry about anything else (: I'm happy to hear that you enjoy that!

That very comment of yours is why ANYONE would WANT to follow you. A most strange world we live in to not take the time to examine why our hearts feel as they do. When I was in grade school I had no friends, and the ones I DID have, were allowed to abuse me in some of the worst ways that would be a little tough to attempt the write to poem. Everyone liked me and I had no capacity to accept it. If there is a chance that one day on here, YOU find yourself bounding across waves like such, then your "fans" and targets for your smiles will help keep you at your best and help remind you how important you ARE to keep in touch!! xoxo -Mark
