Fake "Friends"

Losing friends,
Like seconds passing,
What did I do wrong?
I keep on asking.

Maybe it was them,
But maybe it was me,
Who cares anymore,
I'm finally free.

Wouldn't leave like that,
If they were truly real,
At least I know now,
It was a really dumb deal.

Trusted them with my secrets,
Called them a true friend,
But after time passed,
They weren't true in the end.

I'm really tired of this,
I'm not going to cry,
I'm just going to deal with it,
And tell them goodbye.

A waste of my time,
I should've seen it before,
Instead of believing it,
And trusting them even more...

You didn't do anything wrong. A true friend wouldn't leave you, use you, or betray you. A fake friend isn't worth your time. I like the change of direction here. It started out a bit worried and upset, but then as it described the kind of friendship it changed and became almost annoyed with everything those "friends" put you through. Nice work!

Yes, I've discovered that, who the people are that really care about me, and who the ones are that are just pretending. I think it has definitely saved me a lot of heartbreak. And as for the change of direction, that's just my thought process, hahhaa :P but thank you! (:

Oh my Lord,this is amazing. Sweetheart,I know what you're going through. :( I lost alot of friends,but in a while,you'll realize the fake friends,were the friends you didnt need. Keep your head up,cause things do get better. Trust me,I know from experience.

Wow this is an amazing poem, I feel like I wrote it. The worst feeling in life is emotionaly investing in a friendship, and then seeing they really could care less for you after everything. I am going through something like this right now, so I can really relate.

Such truth in this poem! Yes, there are times when you put trust in people that you never should have, but in the very end it lets you see who your true, trustworthy friends are and you can be thankful for them :) Well done with this piece!

It really is so haunting to be tricked by people who pose as friends... they hurt and strike and make you wonder of trusting anyone... Your words so perfectly express the pain... the loss of a friend... and the strength and courage to move on. Someone would have to be a fool to ever do this to you, dear friend.
