The Mysterious Butterfly..

I was out taking pictures,

I looked over to the side,

There was a beautiful butterfly,

It flew around, tried to hide.

 

I really wanted to find it,

I was kind of curious now,

I knew that I must find it,

What I didn't know was how.

 

I looked all over the yard,

All around, high and low,

No matter how hard I tried,

The butterfly did not show.

 

I looked everywhere I went,

But it was not to be found,

The very pretty butterfly,

Had vanished without a sound.

Butterflies aren't common here in the winter, but boy oh boy! When you go to the school park their everywhere! Like a fairy tale ;)

So pretty!! First image: there was a movie called "My Girl", I think, and while out looking or playing in the wood, there was an unfortunate incident with bees. I was picturing you "or this character in your poem" running around in the brightest of colors with a net to catch this butterfly all full of smiles. So pretty...... By the time the 3rd stanza made its appearance, I was hoping you were carrying a blanket with you somewhere to set up and stay a while.... also thinking "I hope this poem isn't 7 stanzas!!". lol THAT you know of me. : ) So weird to want to help you find this butterfly right now, but I love it, and ..... and I LOVE all of it from you!! I know how much you hate seven stanzas, but you've read poems of mine that are seven stanzas, and even more.. I have ALSO written poems with 7 stanzas... *shudder* lol I feel like I am about to read something that is going to turn the page of my imaginary diary and I will either remind myself of how gorgeous a memory can be when a friend helps paint beauty as well as you do with curious ease, and how to relax, learn, and listen. I Love how I read your poems sometimes, like this one, where I read it and I'm thinking by the end: "Yup!! There's another one I LOVE by her!!" ; ) It's also a selfish bit of fun to say it aloud and write it to you..... HOW you are enjoyed. THAT is part you read in your comments. My meme' had a huge yard and even though she had woods, a brook, candy on the porch, toys..... I would go running through her yard to see what rises from her grass all the time and act as a bit of a bird with my arms stretched out!! I really DO love what you pull out of me, Amanda!!
