Hello Amanda, so glad you have brought your writing to Writers Cafe. I can honestly say that what you have written here is emotional and to the point. You've written this by "telling" us who your true love is, which is fine, but there is no meat to it. Since you have asked for criticism, I will give you the only piece of advice (I don't think this is critical) that as a poet for the better of 30+ years that I can. Show me the one you love.. I don't want to be told who your love is, I want to see for myself. Give your love emotions, color, action, description.. use metaphors or similes. Dig in deep to your own emotions and pull your love forth from the depths of your heart.
I hope this makes sense. And don't worry what you have written really is a fine poem. I have so many just like it from my early days as a poet. I do hope you will continue writing. Read poetry, write poetry, develop your skill because just like everything in this life, all you need is practice! Best wishes to you and your continued work.
So tender and beautiful... your words sing of a love that brings you life... and a love that lasts for your lifeime... Wish everyone had what you've described... I think war might disappear...

Thank you so much(: I also wish everyone could have this type of love and be this happy.
I'm a fourteen year old who knows absolutely nothing about writing, but I try to make the best of it.
