So we lie

I'm writing from someone else's perspective in this poem so I hope you guys like it.

Why is this world so corrupt?
Why can't we have help
Without being torn apart
We need each other
And we need help
We don't want to be apart
Why can't we stay together?
Why is it so hard?
Why can't there be a happy ending
When we need it the most
We have to lie
It'll only get worse
But we have to lie
We want to stay together
But this is going to tear us apart
The truth is going to tear us apart
So we lie
And hide
Hoping it won't get worse
Trying to fix it ourselves
Because we can't have help
Even if we need it
So we stay
And fight
For our family to one day be happy
Because we're not strong
We're kids
Who don't know what to do
And this is the only way
To be together for now
So we lie
And hope for the day we're happy again
