No Words

this poem is based off of a story I'm writing . It's basically about a girl that gets throat cancer but is in recession, she's still scard to speak so she's a mute. This is a reason she's a mute.

My voice can't be heard
It's a whisper in the wind
It's a sad cry of hope
Hope is lost
My vocal chords have been torn out
Lost in the fight
The fight for survival
I came out strong
Yet I still can not speak
For my words are nothing but despair
My song can not be sung
The words are two strong for the weak
And I'm too afraid I will break
So I stay silent
Quiet
Not a word to be said
Because although I defeated my curse
I'm too afraid to speak
I'm too afraid my new voice is weak
Is too sad
Is too wrong to speak the words of a survivor
For I am not strong
I fought but I am still weak

Author's Note

Sorry it's not good and sorry that I haven't written in awhile but I had a challenging writing class that took up most of my time and drained my creative juices. I might put some of the stuff I wrote in that class up so watch for that.
