The audition

Chapter 1.

From the age of 5 I knew what I wanted to be. I wanted to become a famous actor but after the accident left me scarred I knew I could never become famous. What I didn't know was that me not being an actor was about to change.

It all stared when I got the newspaper. It read in big bold letters NEED AN ACTOR. I really, really wanted to read it which is not normal for me because to me the newspaper is boring. Anyway I decided to read it and this is what it said:

                                                        NEED AN ACTOR.

The new movie based on the book Illuminate by Aimee Agresti has been having a hard time trying to find the perfect main actor. They have gone through all the actors that they wanted to look at, none of them were just right for the main character. They have decided to open the auditions for the main character to the public. They are looking for a young lady so please do not audition if you are a guy. The auditions will be taking place in the town hall from 4 to 7. You should hurry if you want a chance at stardom. Also please read the book before you audition we want you to know what we are looking for and what the main character is like. 

I dropped the newspaper and ran up to my room, I was pretty sure that I had just gotten done reading that book. I was right the book was laying neatly on my bed right where I left it. I really liked the book and I knew that I would be the best candidate for Haven. I look like the real life version of her.

I decided that I wanted to do it though I knew I would probable not be able to get the part because of my scars. I just wanted to do it because I knew it was time to move on and live with the fact that I'm never going to look the same as I did before.That doesn't have to stop me from following my dream, and if they don't pick me because of my scars it their loss. Also I really wanted to meet the author of the book that inspired me to show of my scars.

I ran down the stairs with the book in my arms and told my sister I was going out. I didn't want her to make me more nervous then I was. I drove all the way to the town hall in silence hoping and praying that I would pull this off and maybe get a small roll in the movie.

Walking into the town hall was the most nerve raking thing I had done all week I was so nervous I thought I was going to faint which wouldn't be good for me due to the fact that if I fainted my heart could possible stop. I started to take deep breaths to calm myself. Then i went up to the lady that was at the front desk and told her that I was going to audition. She asked me my name which is Rose and gave me a number. She said that i had to go in to the mayors office when my name was called.

I was really nervous and it didn't help that there were much prettier girls there for them to chose from. 

Finally after what seemed like an hour they called out Rose. I jumped out of my seat and walk toward the door. I took a deep breath again and opened the door with out knocking on it. What I saw was shocking the people that were supposed to be interviewing me for this job were mostly famous actors. 

They were very rude they did not stop talking to each other until i walked into the middle of the room and shouted," Hi, my name is Rose and I'm auditioning for Haven."

Then a lady that did not look like an actor said, "Hello Rose I am the author of the book Illuminate did you happen to read it?'

"Yes Mrs. Argresti I did and I loved it, it was so good and it has inspired me to show off my scars more,"I said.

She said," Please call me Aimee, and I'm glad that you liked but may i asked what scars are you talking about?"

I said," Oh I forgot I'm wearing a jacket," I took of my jacket that covered my revealing top, "see,"I said pointing to the scar that is right over my heart.

She asked," Can I ask how did you get that scar?"

" Yes of course you can, I got the scar in a car accident two years ago." I said.

She asked, "did anyone die in the car crash/ How did it happen?"

"Me, my mom, my dad, and my brother were coming back from christmas dinner at my grandmas house when a car came speeding at us and hit us. When I came to I had a big piece of glass right were my heart is I thought I was going to die. Then I heard the ambulance and a guy said don't move you are going to be just fine just don't move. Then I passed out again only to come to in a hospital room this time I didn't have the glass in me no more. I was about 15 then and I was told that my parents did not make it but my brother did because I saved him. That is how i got my scare." I said. at the end of my story everyone was crying and iI mean everyone it felt so weird.

Aimee wiped away all her tears and said, " We will get in contact with you if we want you.'

I said," But I didn't even audition."

She said," That just now was your audition, you did good you should be proud of yourself we will call you if you get the part just tell the lady at the front desk your number.

I left the room stunned and told the lady my number. I really didn't think i would get the part now I just made everyone cry and they didn't even let me act out anything for them I totally blew it.
