The Roses I Know: The White Rose

The Roses I Know: The White Rose

A Poem by amailleia
"

#4 in my new 'series'

"

Life starts over

Every time he breathes

And I don't say a word

And neither does he.

It's too precious a moment,

Too fragile a second,

To risk with breathing.

He hands me the rose-

White as snow-

And walks away.

It means a new start for us.

There's a letter.

"I'll call."

And I don't know when he will

Or if he will

And I don't care

Because we can't go forward

Until I let go.

I set the rose down,

Leave it for the elements to decide,

And go home.

This is sorta representative of what I'm feeling today. It's...different.
