The BaggageA Story by Laaiqah Amaani RuzaickA Guide To Climb Your MountainWhen I was 8, I wanted to become a detective under my child-like fascination of being Daphne from Scooby Doo. When I was 12, I hoped to become a doctor because the idea of holding a stethoscope was admirable. When I was 15, I had a passion to become a singer like in high school musical. When I was 18 I dreamed to become a fashion designer like those in ‘the devil wears Prada’ and just two weeks ago I desiderated to become a lawyer like those in suits. You see, I was never afraid to dream. And I’m telling you- Dream all you can, for these youthful days are your days to do so.
Youthful age, that’s what I am about to tell you of. Beneath the fun and confetti prevails an unseen yet an evidently tangible horizon that is limitless; a horizon full of opportunities to explore, choices to make & dreams to fulfil. It’s only a reach away and this reach- a choice away.
Here’s where I tell you of the mountain and the baggage story that has forever inspired me. I want you to picture your career as a mountain you must climb. This mountain, is what you will climb and climb and climb until you reach the very top which is in this story, your greatest ambition & your highest star to reach. With you, you have a baggage you will carry with you through your journey to the top. Now I want you to fill this baggage with every little to every big thing in your life. Let us start with the little ornaments hanging around your room, the little picture frames of your loved ones, your designer clothes and etc. Now let us pack it with the much heavier things in life; like your relationships, bonds you’ve cherished over the years, memories, regrets & etc. Having completed your baggage, I now want you to carry your baggage. And now, we climb the mountain.
Impossible isn’t it? Whilst climbing this mountain crafted for you, you must know to not pack your baggage with negative energy which may weigh you down. For worse, it would even stagnate your climb. Instead, pack your baggage with the better things, the things that support you and foster your growth. If it weighs you down, its not worthy the climb. It is your mountain to climb, your baggage to pack. And don’t forget- Travel light! © 2018 Laaiqah Amaani RuzaickReviews
