Timeless Perfection

To You, With Love.

I’ve seen love many distant ways,

A timeless perfection, if I must say.

Bright red roses with sparkling wine,

Celebrating love under the stars that shine. 

 

Stocks of laugh & dozens of kisses,

Rejoicing their time in pretty mini-dresses.

Singing songs in melody,

it’s like we’ve found our remedy.

 

Little did I see the deep, dark corner,

For what I’ve seen is only the former.

The roses and wine are just a tip,

In an iceberg so big, it seems like a trick. 

 

Commitment and duty despite your way,

It’s sacrifice and deceiving, yet a beautiful play.

It is to soulfully smile through even your absence,

For when you know it is to foster their joyance.

 

Breaking the rules; good and bad,

Oh did I tell you, the pain it adds?

Dismissing the fear, if your days are few,

For what you’ve longed is here with you.

 

So this Is love & so I know,

for the time we’ve spent will forever glow.

Amidst the pain, amidst the joy,

Love I’ve known, since I’ve met a boy.
