Murderer

Murderer

A Story by Laaiqah Amaani Ruzaick
"

Degradation can kill

"
"As faint shadows of her reflected on the clarion & crystal waters, figures of her terrified self and voices that wailed "Shame On You" pained and bruised her frame and feel, until indubitably she chose to let go. With a sudden outbreak on the top-waters,the weight of dispirited Kaitlyn abandoned her as she escaped into the dark, deep waters" .
When I was a kid, i estimated happiness to be the most tenacious, divine & consuming of every emotion that was philosophically sensible, that butterflies in my stomach was implausibly the ultimate delicacy. But to civilize in a society that framed a single mother to be cursed & prone to copious men, to be studious & bookish was to be a jerk, a dork or a weirdo, that a broken family foretold a savage child, that an idolizor of literature was boring & "not-cool"; devastated and undervalued happiness to be the top-most powerful emotion. Image is powerful & reputation is fragile. To contaminate & violate an individuals image and prestige is to cause shame. And shame out of all, is the most outrageous of killers and demons for it haunts and traumatizes the human psychology to believe imperfection is crisis, regrettable and awful. If bringing to humiliation another character, designs a hero out of ourselves- humanity is at stake. A deep and intelligent psyche regards it to be inhuman and shallow to tease & antagonize, for the procreation is no hero but a monster. Blind to this catastrophe, a distinction & honor for a single mother for being daring & exemplifying gallantry on the contrary to degrading is but hats off elegant, to be studious could have sketched smart, potentiality & brilliance, a crippled family could sometimes be the logic trailing juvenile victory & an admirer of literature designated as a ravishing, refining & exclusive ambition. On average, one person dies through suicide every 40 seconds somewhere in the world because of shame somehow lured through external bullying, cyber-bullying, rape & abuse but regularly due to repulsive comments on their imperfections, ignorant to the intelligence that no human was patterned to be stainless. If every woman is gifted the comfort & luxury of not having to look back in the mirror for a second time before leaving home with the terror of imperfection & every man finds home within another human being, the most sinful of murderers-Shame can be conquered. What a shame we all become to draw shame to another, with a guilty familiarity of what agony it could convince.

I was quite surprised reading this, expecting something quite different from the title. Turned out to be an immensely raw stream of conscious thought. I can sense the writers struggle to be herself in a world that doesn't accept who she really is, or see the immense worth in her interests and in her as a person of value no matter. I think all us writers and artists can relate to this.

People are mean. I don't understand the need to destroy another person for pleasure. Your words and thoughts needed and powerful. Thank you for sharing your words and thoughts.
