The thought had a black belt

The thought had a black belt

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I wrestled with a thought
and lost
I was no match
for a boxer
but little be known
another thought came along
and gave that boxer a lesson -
the mark of Cain
Kung Fu thought anyone!

I wrestle with many thoughts and emotions alike. I love the humorous way you tell this experience with thoughts.

i smiled; how relateable this is. particular for a chronic overthinker/bipolar person such as i, the battles that take place inside my psyche can occupy me and torment me for hours at a time. yet it is always helpful to laugh at yourself, and this work certainly gave me a chance to do that. thanks for sharing.
