The echo of yesterday

The echo of yesterday

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The goodbye
had no forwarding address
maybe I misread
the hello
hello,hello,hello.

Oh my always quite a pleasure to read what you are writing and thinking... Yes, sadly the goodbyes often do not leave a forwarding address.. (at the end of their lives)

Goodbyes say it all, tossing the ball into the unknown, no goal.

I like the idea of goodbyes have echoes; they reverberate many effects.

When we call into the abyss of loss ... our words to echo sharply. Wonderful piece of brevity.

I have gotten those before...unfortunately once from a dear friend...

by the time I found her again, she had passed away from ALS.....

but I keep saying hello to her hoping she may eventually answer.
